The Wicker Atelier

The Wicker Atelier is an eclectic Chicago loft shaped through art, curiosity, and a deep respect for the details that make a home feel personal. Rather than treating the architecture as a backdrop, the design leans into the home’s most memorable moments, including a custom stair railing developed as a sculptural feature in partnership with Dollyfox Metal Works. Reeded glass panels, arranged in varied sizes and orientations, soften natural light by day and glow like a lantern by night, turning a functional element into one of the home’s defining gestures. Throughout the loft, collected objects, layered textures, and unexpected moments of materiality create a space that feels expressive without losing its refinement. The result is a home with an artist’s spirit and a craftsman’s discipline, designed to feel lived-in, luminous, and entirely its own.
